MYSCOLI PHYSIO KL - Physiotherapy Kuala Lumpur

ISST 3D SCHROTH

The Schroth Method was founded by Katharina Schroth who is also a scoliosis patient herself in 1927, Germany. She had scoliosis that was unsuccessfully treated by bracing and hence took matters into her own hands and developed the Schroth Method. She and her daughter, Christa Lehnert-Schroth began treating scoliosis patients in their garden which later contributed to the birth of Asklepios Katharina Schroth Klinik in Bad Sobernheim, Germany.

The non-surgical scoliosis treatment combines exercises and rotational breathing completely customised according to specific curve types which de-rotate, elongate, strengthens and stabilize the spine.

ISST 3D Schroth is an international branch founded by Axel Hennes to provide international trainings in English for physiotherapist worldwide. Axel Hennes is one of the Principle Physiotherapist in Asklepios Katharina Schroth Klinik, Germany. The course structure offered is based consequently on the original Schroth therapy developed and practiced identically in the Asklepios Katharina Schroth Klinik, Germany. Training courses in English held by the senior Schroth instructor, Axel Hennes and other international Schroth instructors trained by him were available since 2008 in different countries.

On December 2018, Caroline took the initiative of organizing this highly specialized course in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with the aim of providing better care for scoliosis patients. She had the opportunity to be trained under the expertise of Dr. Sanja Schreiber Ph.D, ISST Regional Instructor, owner of Curvy Spine Clinic, three time award winning SOSORT researcher and has since gained comprehensive knowledge in the conservative management of scoliosis.
